It's close enough to have fun but far enough away to avoid the painful movement of humans in sheep formation. The one redeeming quality about this place is that it's close enough to the strip that you can drive down industrial and get in on all of the action with no inconvenience and avoid all of the crowd. She smiled and was always courteous and attentive. I will say this, the lady doing housekeeping was a saint. "What do you want?", "Come get your order!", "That comes with e over here and get it!", are a few of my favorite quotes. The guy taking the food orders was something that I thought B-movies used as a comic-relief tactic. The front desk man had to be aggressively called to get attention. "Why treat others nicely, they won't tip anyway!" I believe that is the motto of choice.
The staff doesn't believe in the Golden Rule. My clothes are on hangers, as I type this, airing out. The bed linens, the carpet, the walls, the towels, hell.even the soap. I have never been to a cigarette smoke-scented hotel. The only positive thing that I can say is that the geriatric security guard will keep you safe from the "colorful" locals with sad songs. Uninterested staff, smoke-scented rooms, broken air-conditioners, and crummy perks worth $4.25 are just a few of the high points of this hotel. During low season (particularly during the week) you should be able to find something nicer for not much more money. The place is truly a deal during peak season (especially on the weekends, probably at least 1/2 of what the rest of downtown and the low rent strip places are going for). This place is not to be compared with the low rent digs on the strip, which are considerably nicer and more expensive. It is perfect for a boys weekend, college getaway, or for those on a budget who don't mind hanging out with some of the eccentric (but not dangerous) characters who populate a place with $2 forty ounce draft beers and penny slots. If you are familiar with $30 hotel rooms, then there will be no surprises. Note that the cab ride to the airport may cost more than your room. You don't hear noise from your room at night and the place is well staffed with fairly visible security. A one star hotel with air conditioned rooms, low limit tables, and easy access to downtown/fremont street experience. HIGHLY recommend! Will remember this gem for our next trip to Vegas. Parking passes issued for the lot across the street when you are a guest.
Way awesome, we didn't even leave the property the whole night, they had everything and then some to enjoy right here.Īll the staff was friendly. They had multiple games, music, bars and seating areas. It was 108 outside and the room AC was set to 60 upon entering and that was awesome!!! Walked the property to find they have the cutest area set up for the night life. No refrigerator but that didn't ruin our time, they have ice machines and we were able to keep our drinks cold. Our room appeared to be recently renovated, was super cute and clean. Also had a few loungers that are set in the water, no reservation or payment required to use any of these. Cute little pool court yard, they have tables/chairs. We booked a pool view room, so glad we did. Upon arrival, we immediately were blown away by all the amenities that are offered for the price.
